INTERNATIONAL LIGHTHOUSES WEEKEND AUGUST 14 & 15 2010 Queenscliffe Maritime Museum will celebrate this weekend at Point Lonsdale lightstation: · Lighthouse tours both days (bookings required) · Fog Horn shed open to the public (a rare occurrence) · Children�€™s art competition �€“ illustrating Pt Lonsdale Light and precinct �€“ 3 age groups, promoted through local schools Watch the local press and this website for more information. HMAS GOORANGAI SERVICE 2010 will be held on Sunday 21 November This annual service commemorates the sinking of the Minesweeper HMAS Goorangai in Port Phillip on November 20 1940 with the loss of all hands, and is held each year on the Sunday nearest to the anniversary The Museum has a permanent HMAS Goorangai Display The story of HMAS Goorangai and the sinking may be found on the Maritime Archaeology Association of Victoria website

4th ANNUAL MARITIME SWAP MEET & COLLECTABLES MARKET Sunday December 5, 2010, 9.00am - 1.00pm ALL THINGS MARITIME/NAUTICAL. PRE-LOVED or HAND MADE buoys, marine motors and parts, cruise ship & other memorabilia, yacht bits, model boats, anchors, paintings, prints, small wooden vessels ANYTHING of a MARITIME or NAUTICAL NATURE The Annual Maritime Swap Meet is held in the Museum grounds, Wharf Street, Queenscliff Victoria (Melways Ref 499 - H9) Entry $5.00 Adult; Child under 16 free Potential stall holders - please download, complete and return a Registration Form If you wish to donate items to the Museum stall please drop them in to the Museum Free pick up of items can be arranged in Geelong/Bellarine area - phone 03 5258 3440 (9.30am-4.00pm Mon–Fri to arrange Please come along and support this fundraising event for the Museum.
